Laser OperatorCompetitive + Benefits + bonusWelwyn Garden CityMonday - Friday 6am-2pmgap technical are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a Laser Operator to work at their facility based near Welwyn Garden CityPerformance ObjectivesUnderstanding of 2D and 3D laser cutting programmes using Tru-Tops 3D software (knowledge of Boost software an advantage)Create nesting for laser cutting using Tru-Tops softwareOperating a Trumph Tru Cell 7040 laser (or equivalent)Load programmes /laser set upSet machine parameters to ensure optimal performanceReport any maintenance issues to Line ManagerEnsure all jigs and fixtures are stored correctly and are in calibrationEnsure a clean and safe working environment is maintainedUse of all measuring equipment as defined within Inspection Plans to check conformance to requirements.Carry out in process inspection in accordance with relevant inspection plans to ensure that components are conforming prior to passing on to subsequent operations.Ensure that components identified as non-conforming during in process inspection are identified and communicated in accordance with the Non-Conformance Procedure.Person SpecificationFully trained laser operatorWorking knowledge of machines, cutting speeds and feeds and tolerancesSolid understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings and standardsKnowledge of Health and Safety requirements relating to LasersApplyPlease send your CV via the Apply now option on the ..... full job details .....
