The company has recently invested in a-new AMADA laser cutting machine-and is looking for an experienced operator to join the team and work across a split day and afternoon shift. This is a-temporary-to-permanent position, with a genuine opportunity to secure a permanent role with the company. The Role You''ll be responsible for operating and setting the laser cutting machine within a busy sheet metal manufacturing environment. Duties will include: Setting and operating the AMADA laser Loading and unloading sheet material Selecting and running programmes Making machine adjustments where required Monitoring the cutting process Checking finished components for quality and accuracy Working from engineering drawings and job specifications Working with mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium Identifying and reporting any machine or cutting issues Carrying out basic operator maintenance Keeping the machine and surrounding work area clean and organise...
