Laser Application Support Engineer - (6 Month FTC) Are you a Laser Applications Engineer looking for your next challenge? My client has an exciting opportunity for a hands-on and technically minded Laser Application Support Engineer to join their growing team on a 6-month fixed term contract, supporting the development, commissioning and optimisation of laser-based machinery and processes within a specialist engineering environment. This is a hands-on role where you will be involved in laser applications, machine commissioning, laser alignment and process development, working closely with customers and internal engineering teams to develop and optimise laser processes to meet specific requirements. In this Laser Application Support Engineer role based in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, you will be responsible for the following: Working on practical laser applications and collaborating with end-users to tailor laser systems and processes to specific requirements.Supporting the commissioning and alignment of optical machines, ensuring systems are correctly set up and operational.Designing and carrying out experiments to establish the appropriate laser process conditions to meet customer requirements.Carrying out laser alignment and working with laser beams in a practical, hands-on environmentWorking with CO2 lasers and micromachining systems to support RandD activities, customer samples and process development.
