Rate: -37.38 per hour (PAYE) / -50 per hour (Umbrella)
Hours: 35 hours per week, working 4.5 days between 7am and 7pm (hours agreed at business discretion)

Are you an engineer who enjoys solving technical challenges and seeing your work make a real difference? Guidant Global is recruiting five Landing Gear Engineers (LGERS & LGMS) to join Airbus at Filton on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of an extension.
This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of engineering tasks within Landing Gear projects and missions. You will be trusted to deliver on time, to the right quality and within cost, while working alongside experienced Senior Engineers, Specialists and Engineering Leaders.
What you will be doing
- Delivering engineering tasks within your assigned projects and missions, and taking personal responsibility for on-time, on-quality and on-cost technical solutions
- Defining technical requirements, carrying out technical analyses and writing plans and accomplishment summaries for approval by Senior Engineers and Specialists
- Reviewing and validating task planning, and keeping Engineering Leaders updated with regular progress reports
- Carrying out verification and validation (V&V) strategies, test definition and technical analyses for your scope
- Producing high-quality V&V evidence and reports, making sure they meet all applicable requirements before they go for review
- Investigating and resolving technical issues found during development or in-service operation, and developing robust, well-substantiated solutions
- Working closely with Senior Engineers, Specialists and Engineering Leaders to gain support, agreement and alignment
- Supporting fellow engineers through knowledge sharing and team development
- Collaborating with internal teams and external suppliers
- Preparing technical documentation, including reports, specifications and presentations, to support project milestones and design reviews
What you will deliver
- Reviewed and approved technical documentation, including specifications, reports and V&V evidence
What we are looking for
- 2-5 years of professional experience
- A degree-level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline
- Knowledge and understanding of aircraft systems
- Strong communication skills and fluency in English
- Data analysis, report writing and presentation skills
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
- Strong problem-solving skills and a genuine interest in technical challenges
- Systems Engineering experience is preferred
Security clearance
This role requires BPSS+ clearance, which is completed by Airbus Security.
