Ladieswear Designer

We are looking for an experienced Ladieswear Designer to join a busy team, specialising in mature ladieswear. The ideal candidate will have strong all-round womenswear design experience and be confident designing across a wide range of product categories, including: Tops and blouses Dresses Knitwear Trousers and bottoms Jackets and outerwear Co-ordinated pieces and other ladieswear Key Responsibilities Designing commercial, stylish and wearable collections for the mature ladieswear market Creating new styles and developing existing designs CAD design and preparation for sampling, including accurate size specifications Creating and developing prints, patterns and colourways Working closely with the sampling and production process to ensure designs are clearly communicated Keeping up to date with current fashion trends while understanding the needs of the mature customer Working independently and managing deadlines across multiple projects The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone with: Proven experience as a Ladieswear Designer Strong knowledge of the mature ladieswear market Excellent all-round product knowledge Strong CAD skills and experience preparing designs for sampling Experience creating original prints and artwork A good understanding of garment construction, fit and sizing A commercial eye and ability to design with the customer and market in mind Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a small, busy team By submitting your CV, you ..... full job details .....
