Hays Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Labourer to join a leading organisation within the social housing sector, supporting repairs, maintenance and refurbishment teams across occupied and void residential properties throughout the Midlands. This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking and reliable individual looking to secure long-term work, with the successful candidate initially joining on a temporary basis with the opportunity to become permanent following a successful period. The role involves assisting skilled tradespeople, carrying out general labouring duties and ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently across a varied property portfolio. Key Responsibilities Assisting trades operatives with repairs and maintenance works. Carrying out general labouring duties across occupied and void properties. Loading and unloading materials, tools and equipment. Maintaining clean and safe working areas. Supporting property reinstatement and site preparation works. Completing pre-start safety checks and risk assessments. Reporting access issues, hazards and material requirements. Using mobile technology and completing relevant job documentation. Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with health and safety guidelines Requirements To be considered, you will ideally have: Previous experience working as a Labourer within construction, maintenance or social housing.
