Labourer

We are recruiting for Labourers/Beach Marshals to join the team for a major beach recharge operation on Hayling Island.
Key Details:

• Start Date:Between 1st and 7th October (TBC)
• Duration:8-10 days
• Shifts:12-hour day and night shifts (two teams of three)
• Location:Hayling Island Beach

Main Duties:

• Erecting, moving, and dismantling Heras fencing to secure work areas
• Assisting with the safe movement of materials and equipment on site
• Managing public safety and providing clear information to beach visitors during operations
• Monitoring exclusion zones and ensuring members of the public do not enter active work areas
• Supporting the team during the discharge of shingle onto the beach
• General labouring tasks as required to support the recharge works

Requirements:

• Valid CSCS card (General Operative)
• Previous experience in construction, fencing, or public safety roles preferred
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good communication skills and a proactive approach to safety
• Ability to work long shifts as part of a team
