Laboratory Technician

We''re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join the Health and Life Sciences team at CU Coventry. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative learning environment, supporting practical teaching and helping students gain hands-on experience in a modern laboratory setting. Working closely with academic staff and under the guidance of the Senior Technician, you''ll play a key role in ensuring our laboratories run smoothly, safely, and effectively. Key Responsibilities Preparing and setting up equipment and materials for practical sessions, demonstrations, and events Maintaining laboratory facilities, ensuring they are safe, organised, and fully operational Supporting teaching staff during laboratory sessions and contributing to practical learning activities Managing stock, ordering consumables, and maintaining accurate records and inventories Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including COSHH and risk assessmentsAbout You HND (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline Experience working in a laboratory environment Strong understanding of health and safety practices Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong communication skills with both staff and studentsAdditional Information Location: Coventry City Centre Hours: 08:30 - 17:00 Monday - Friday Temporary until November 2026 with Temp to Perm opportunity At ..... full job details .....
