Laboratory Technician

Laboratory Technician Altera Recruitment Group is partnering with a specialist fuels and energy business operating within the downstream oil, automotive, aerospace and motorsport sectors. The business is looking for a Laboratory Technician to join its Technical Services Team and play a key role in the delivery of complex projects and bespoke fuel formulation. This is an opportunity for a technically minded Chemistry graduate with laboratory and project experience to take ownership of multiple projects from start to finish. Key Responsibilities of the Laboratory Technician Manage multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring agreed lead times and right first-time criteria are achieved Independently formulate a wide range of fuel blends using formulation models and empirical blending techniques Troubleshoot technical issues across production, logistics and commercial activities Support raw material specification, sourcing, testing and approval, as well as identifying new product applications Provide technical support to customers while mentoring other members of the Technical Services Team Candidate Requirements Degree in Chemistry or an equivalent qualification is essential Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience, with familiarity with standard fuel test methods Previous project experience with the ability to manage multiple activities through to completion Strong technical, analytical, communication and problem solving skills A strong HSE focus ..... full job details .....
