Role Overview
- Carry out installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of laboratory equipment at customer sites
- Diagnose faults and perform repairs to ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely
- Complete service reports and associated documentation accurately using digital systems
- Provide operator training and technical guidance to customers where required
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and industry standards
What We''re Looking For
- Previous experience in a field service, installation or maintenance engineering role
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills with a practical approach
- Electrical or electro-mechanical engineering background
- Excellent customer-facing communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as part of the role
Desirable Experience
- Experience working with laboratory or scientific equipment
- Electrical qualifications such as 18th Edition
- Commissioning, validation or calibration experience
- IOSH, CSCS or similar industry-recognised certifications
- Experience working within regulated or compliance-driven environments
Work Location
- Home-based field service position
- Ideally located around Sheffield, Nottingham or the wider A1/M1 corridor
- Covering Northern England with occasional travel into Scotland
- Mixture of planned maintenance, installation and commissioning activities
- Regular travel as part of day-to-day responsibilities
