Laboratory Assistant

Manpower are currently seeking an interim Laboratory Assistant, to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, and become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment. The position is based at our client''s scientific Research and Development facility in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral easily accessible by train and car. This is a full-time temporary role to run for 6 months, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to 29,000 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.This role sits within the Unilever Fragrance House team working across all Unilever Business Groups globally, alongside the fragrance RandD teams. The role will be to provide laboratory support to prepare samples and substrates for evaluation by the perfumery team.You will work as part of a broader team; working proactively and independently in a multi-functional, multi-cultural environment; adhering to prescribed procedures and health and safety guidelines.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately prepare samples and apply them to substrates for evaluations (main duty)Set up evaluation assessments for the perfumery teamAccurately record all laboratory workSafely handle and label all products and substrates for evaluationsWork closely with laboratory team and project manager to ensure samples are prepared on timeEnsure all equipment and evaluation areas used are kept cleanComply with all ..... full job details .....
