Laboratory Analysts
within our team based in
Randox Health St Pauls, London . The successful candidate will conduct rapid onsite testing for multiple Point of Care clinical and/or molecular tests and will be responsible for the processing of blood and other samples from Randox Health or third-party clinics.Location:
23 Paternoster Row, London EC4M 8AB.Contract Offered:
Full-time, permanent.Working Hours / Shifts:
10:00-18:40 and 14:20-22:00 on a rotational weekly basis.What does this role involve?
This role is responsible for routine clinical testing in the laboratory. The main duties include:Routine use of the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).Performance of various analytical procedures including manual screening and automated methods covering a wide variety of clinical diagnostic tests.Preparation and handling of samples and diagnostic reagents.Operation of automated analytical systems such as Rx Daytona Plus, Rx Imola and Siemens Immulite XPi.Accurate maintenance of analytical records.Adherence to chain of custody procedures throughout the analytical process.Routine maintenance and calibration of analytical instrumentation.Preparation of specimens for transport to ensure stability during shipment to the appropriate analytical laboratory.Recording and monitoring of temperature for laboratory and equipment.Troubleshooting on technical issues related to clinical diagnostic testing.Completion of required Quality Control checks daily and meeting internal criteria.Participation in quality audits.Exposure to laboratory settings in university or placement contexts.Qualifications and Skills
Qualified to at least degree level in Biochemistry or a life science.Demonstrable attention to detail.Ability to undertake both day and night shift patterns.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and organisational skills.Practical experience using automated analysers.Experience in a private healthcare setting.Working knowledge of quality systems.Working knowledge of Health and Safety, including CoSHH.Application
