Lab Technician Location: Taunton, Somerset Employment Type: Permanent Salary: 23,132 to 25,025 per year Hours: 35 hours per week Start Date: ASAP The Company Our client is a specialist manufacturing business producing small precision components and assemblies within a controlled production environment. The Role The position will involve carrying out a range of laboratory and production processes involving small precision components. The role includes working with chemicals and following strict Health and Safety and COSHH procedures. Previous chemical handling experience is preferred but not essential. Key Responsibilities Cleaning small precision components and assemblies. Testing components and assemblies. Carrying out etching processes. Handling chemicals safely. Handling bulk materials up to approximately 25 kg where required. Following Health and Safety and COSHH procedures. Following production procedures and work instructions. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Supporting general laboratory and production activities. Skills and Experience Previous production or manufacturing experience preferred. Chemical handling experience beneficial. Cleaning, testing or etching experience beneficial. Comfortable working with chemicals. Strong attention to detail. Good manual dexterity. Able to follow procedures accurately. Comfortable working within a small team. Package 23,132 to 25,025 per year. 35 hours per week.
