      <description>Location: Cambridge | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Temporary | Lab Technician  6-Month Fixed Term Contract | Cambridge    We are recruiting for a Lab Technician to join an innovative clean technology company in the energy sector. This is a hands-on laboratory role suited to someone with a chemistry and formulation background, working alongside scientists and engineers on the preparation and development of novel materials.   The Role:    Working with chemicals and materials, whilst-supporting the day-to-day running of their laboratories  Operate and maintain laboratory / production equipment  Prepare, modify and optimise formulations and materials-e.g. handling raw materials, following experimental procedures, evaluating results and supporting process improvements  Maintaining good laboratory practices  Help with safety, quality and general lab operations   About You:   A scientific degree/certification or experience involving significant practical work in a chemical wet-lab environment.  Background in formulation science, formulation development, materials preparation or a related field.  Strong attention to detail, safety awareness and a practical, hands-on approach.  Experience with pilot-plant or production equipment would be advantageous.</description>
