Lab Technician

Our client a food production company based in Bishops Stortford are currently looking for a a Lab Technician. Monday to Friday 0800 to 1400Pay Rate 13.86ph33 days annual leave (inc bank holidays)The purpose of this role will be to comply with all site procedures to carry out testing of raw materials, milled products and finished goods against specification.Your duties will include:To comply with site and business operational, health, safety and environmental and food safety procedures, work instructions and safe systems of workTo carry out the testing, recording and where appropriate, the appropriate escalation of results following the testing of raw materials, milled flours and finished productsTo accurately record all due diligence and other operational data as requiredTo demonstrate to auditors (internal and external) as well as customers, the food safe manufacture of finished productsTo support the Food Safety and Quality Compliance Manager and the wider teamTo take a proactive approach in the identification, communication and achievement of continuous improvementTo carry out other duties on site as requested by the Site Management Team Skills and Experience: Essential:Ability to multi-task and problem solve under pressureBasic Microsoft Office skills (including Word and Excel)Attention to detailBasic report writingGood Communication (Written, Verbal and Listening) THIS IS A TEMP TO PERM POSITION Please note that no terminology in this advert is intended to discriminate ..... full job details .....
