Our client, a prominent name in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated Lab Chemist to join their team on a contract basis until end March 2027. This dynamic role involves supporting the laboratory functions critical to the development and testing of aerospace materials.Key Responsibilities:Conducting chemical analysis of metal finishing bath contents and ensuring they meet relevant specifications and requirementsDeveloping metal finishing processes to optimise production performance and efficiency, including writing technical reports to justify decision-making processesCreating and maintaining control measures to ensure compliance with legal and legislated requirementsPerforming periodic testing for corrosion and coating weight specifications to ensure the process is within specificationManaging the Effluent Plant operations to meet legal requirementsLeading root cause investigations to prevent recurrence of failure modesCreating and amending Standard Operating Procedures and Work InstructionsActing as the site technical expert in metal finishing and chemical processingSupporting Nadcap auditingAssisting suppliers with technical queriesJob Requirements:Proven experience as a Lab Technician or Chemist in a laboratory settingUnderstanding of laboratory and analytical techniquesA Level qualifications in Chemistry and MathsA further qualification in Chemistry or Metal Finishing is advantageousTheoretical knowledge of the main branches of chemistryExcellent ..... full job details .....
