KS4 Tutor

Hi,I hope you''re well.We are currently looking for a dedicated tutor to support a Year 10 student working towards achieving GCSEs in core subjects (English, Maths, and Science). Tuition will take place fully outside of a school setting, with sessions held in a public space agreed between yourself, the young person, and involved professionals. The setting will remain flexible to suit the student''s needs.The young person does not have SEN, however presents with a significant history of Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, which are currently the primary barrier to accessing education. She is academically capable at GCSE level and currently on a Functional Skills pathway, though this will be reviewed following a baseline assessment and remains flexible.She is beginning to focus on her future and understands the importance of achieving five GCSEs, including English, Maths, and Science, to access her chosen college course.We welcome tutors who specialise in one or two core subjects, as the Local Authority is open to multiple tutors supporting her provision.Key Requirements:Minimum 6 months UK-based experience in educationExperience supporting young people with SEMH needsStrong understanding of emotional regulation strategiesAbility to be flexible and adaptive, adjusting session content, pace, and expectations based on the young person''s emotional stateA nurturing, patient approach with a focus on building trust, confidence, and engagementRole Details: 25- 30 per ..... full job details .....
