We are seeking an experienced and dedicated KS3 Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEMH school in the Orpington/Bromley area. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils who require additional emotional, behavioural, and learning support.Key Responsibilities:Provide 1:1 and small-group support for KS3 pupils with SEMH needs.Assist in delivering tailored learning activities under teacher guidance.Implement behaviour-regulation strategies suited to individual pupils.Build positive and trusting relationships to improve engagement and wellbeing.Support teaching staff with behaviour management and classroom routines.Monitor and report on pupil progress, behaviour, and emotional development.Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to ensure holistic support.Respond calmly and safely to challenging behaviour using de-escalation techniques.Candidate Requirements:Proven experience supporting children or young people with SEMH needs (essential).Experience within a specialist setting or SEMH school highly desirable.Strong understanding of behaviour management and safeguarding.Excellent communication and interpersonal ..... full job details .....
