The primary focus of this role is to help the young person re-engage with learning at a pace that suits their individual needs, building trust, confidence, resilience, and positive learning experiences before any academic expectations are introduced. About the Role Location: SN11 (home-based initially) Hours: Up to 10 hours per week Start Date: September Key Responsibilities Adopt a mentoring and nurturing approach to build a positive relationship with the young person. Complete an initial baseline assessment to identify current attainment levels and gaps in learning. Gradually introduce KS2 Maths and English in a way that is accessible, engaging, and pressure-free. Develop the young person''s confidence, resilience, and readiness for more structured learning. Work towards supporting a transition into a formal educational setting when a placement has been identified. The young person is currently without a school placement.
