KS2 teaching assistant

Smile Education are recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a 1 form entry primary school in a year 6 class. They are looking for someone to start after the October half term until the end of the academic year. The school is located in a small village, easily commutable and has modern facitlies with a very supportive staff team. The Responsibilities of the Teaching AssistantEncouraging independence within the class and within students, being proactiveDevelop and concentrate on building a relationship with the children, staff and family members.Constant and consistent communication with the class teacher, regarding progress and potential methods of work.Create a secure and positive environment for children to learn and feel comfortable.To apply for this Teaching Assistant role, you will need:An up-to-date DBS on the update service or dated within the last 12 months.A teaching assistant qualification or health and social care (level 2 or 3).Experience working with SEN children on a 1:1 basis or small groups work.Experience working with Primary school children.At least 2 professional references covering the last 2 years of work history.The benefits of this SEN teaching assistant role:A daily rate of 100- 115 a dayPAYE and Umbrella payment optionsHoliday pay of 12.07%Free CPD training available via the smile portalReferral scheme up to 200Dedicated consultant working within your area.
