We are seeking a dedicated educator to join a specialist SEMH School in Blackpool.This is a unique opportunity to escape the pressures of a 30-child mainstream classroom. Here, class sizes are capped at 5 pupils, allowing you to provide a truly nurturing, individualised, and trauma-informed approach to education. You will support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, balancing academic progress with essential therapeutic support.Your ResponsibilitiesCreative Curriculum: Lead a small class of 5, delivering an engaging KS2 curriculum adapted to the diverse needs of your learners.Classroom Culture: Create a safe, structured environment where pupils feel empowered to overcome barriers to learning.Collaborative Support: Work alongside specialised Teaching Assistants and therapy teams to implement individual EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan) goals.Behaviour Coaching: Utilise de-escalation techniques and emotional coaching to manage complex behaviours effectively.RequirementsQualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory for this specialist role.KS2 Expertise: A proven track record of teaching within Key Stage 2.SEN Experience: Experience in SEMH or ..... full job details .....
