KS2 SEN Teaching AssistantBarnet, North London 110 - 125 per day ASAP Start Full-Time Long-TermAbout the RoleLong Term Futures are working with a supportive junior school in Barnet to recruit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Key Stage 2.This is a varied role supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, speech and language needs, trauma and emotional regulation difficulties across Year 4 and Year 6.The successful candidate will need to be adaptable, patient and confident tailoring their approach to pupils with different levels of need.Key responsibilities include:Supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD and additional learning needsProviding targeted support within Year 4 and Year 6Supporting speech, language and communication developmentHelping pupils develop emotional regulation strategiesProviding structured 1:1 and small group supportSupporting pupils with trauma-related behavioural and emotional needsUsing positive behaviour management and de-escalation strategiesSupporting engagement, independence and access to learningWorking closely with teachers, the SENCO and pastoral teamThe Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for someone who:Has previous experience supporting children with SENHas a good understanding of autism and ADHDIs confident supporting emotional and behavioural needsCan build strong relationships while maintaining clear boundariesIs flexible and comfortable supporting different pupils across KS2Is calm, resilient and ..... full job details .....
