KS2 Intervention Teacher

Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Year 6 Intervention Teacher to join a supportive primary school in Birmingham on a long-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced KS2 teacher who has strong Year 6 experience and excellent curriculum knowledge. Working closely with the Year 6 team, you will teach small groups of pupils and deliver focused interventions designed to close gaps in learning and accelerate progress. The Role Location: Sheldon, Birmingham Start Date: ASAP Contract: Long-term Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 1:00pm You will be responsible for: Teaching targeted small-group interventions across Year 6Identifying and addressing gaps in pupils'' learningSupporting pupils to make accelerated progressPlanning and delivering focused lessons based on individual and group needsSupporting pupils towards end-of-KS2 expectationsWorking collaboratively with the Year 6 teaching teamMonitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching accordinglyThe Successful Candidate We are looking for a teacher who: Holds QTSHas strong previous experience teaching in Year 6Has excellent knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and Year 6 expectationsIs confident delivering targeted English and Maths interventionsCan quickly identify gaps in learning and plan appropriate next stepsHas high expectations and a strong understanding of how to accelerate pupil progressCan work effectively as part of an established Year 6 teamThis is a Monday-to-Friday morning role, working ..... full job details .....
