KS1 Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant - KS1 (Full-Time, Long-Term)
Location: Glossop

Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Glossop. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a Key Stage 1 setting, supporting pupils in their early stages of education within a nurturing and engaging environment.

The successful candidate will be working closely with the class teacher to support learning, deliver interventions, and help create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teaching and learning within a KS1 classroom
• Work with small groups and on a 1:1 basis where required
• Assist in the delivery of lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Help manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Support pupils with varying abilities to reach their full potential

Requirements:

• Previous experience working within a Primary School setting, ideally KS1
• Strong understanding of relevant schemes of learning
• Confident supporting phonics, literacy, and numeracy development
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A proactive, positive, and flexible approach
