KS1 Teaching Assistant Location: Sutton Coldfield, B73 Birmingham Pay Rate: (Apply online only) Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Start Date: 05/01/2026 Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm Are you passionate about helping young learners thrive? A welcoming primary school in Sutton Coldfield (B73) is looking for a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Year 1 and Year 2 with catch-up interventions and additional needs. This is a full-time, long-term role starting January 2026, perfect for someone who loves working closely with children to build their confidence, close learning gaps, and make a real difference. For the right candidate there is an opportunity for this position to be made permanent. Responsibilities:Deliver small group and 1:1 interventions in phonics, reading, and early mathsSupport pupils with mild to moderate additional needsWork closely with the class teacher and SENCo to adapt resources and strategiesEncourage independence, engagement, and progress across the KS1 curriculumMonitor pupil progress and provide feedback to staffAbout You:A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent in a relevant qualificationExperience supporting pupils in a primary setting (KS1 preferred)Confident delivering academic interventions and using phonics strategies (e.g., Read Write Inc)Calm, nurturing, and proactive approachUnderstanding of additional needs such as speech and language, processing, or attention difficultiesA ..... full job details .....
