About the Role
We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to work on a full-time, agency basis in schools across Newcastle. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to delivering engaging lessons and supporting pupils through this important stage of their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Support pupils in developing key literacy, numeracy, and social skills
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing effective feedback
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
- Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to support pupil development
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Competitive daily rates of pay
