KS1 Teacher - September

Your new companyHays have been approached by a local school in the Wigan area to help them with their search for a Year 1 Class Teacher. The school are looking for a reliable and experienced class teacher who can come in and hit the ground running within this lovely Year 1 Class. This school is rated Ofsted ''Good'' and places an emphasis on pushing pupils to achieve their potential, which is also a quality the right candidate should possess. This role will be full-time starting in September through until December as a minimum, with the potential for this to be extended until the end of the academic year. ECT/NQT''s will be considered for the role.Your new roleIn this new role, you will be given full teaching responsibilities for the class, including planning, delivering and marking work to assess pupil ability. You should be flexible and adaptable and be able to suit your lessons to the needs of the children, based on ability. You will be working collaboratively with teaching assistants and the KS1 team to create a productive and welcoming learning environment. You will be expected to conduct/attend parents'' evenings and any extra staff meetings or training days. This year 1 class has a diverse range of pupils from different backgrounds, with various levels of ability. You should have strong behaviour management skills.
