Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to support a pupil within a KS1 class at a welcoming Primary School in the Glossop area. This is a full-time, short-term role running until the May 2026 half term.

The successful candidate will work closely with a child on a 1:1 basis, providing tailored support to help them access the curriculum, develop confidence, and thrive within the classroom environment.

The Role:

• Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with SEND within a KS1 classroom

• Supporting the child''s learning, emotional wellbeing, and social development

• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies

• Assisting with adapted learning activities and classroom engagement

• Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)

• Experience supporting children with SEND, ideally within a primary school setting

• Patient, empathetic and nurturing approach

• Strong communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
