This is a rewarding opportunity to support and inspire young learners with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) within a nurturing and structured environment.Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver personalised, engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of pupils with ASC. Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets. Create a structured, sensory-aware classroom environment that supports communication and emotional regulation. Use a range of specialist strategies (e.g., PECS, visual timetables, TEACCH approaches) to support learning and behaviour. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals. Monitor progress and provide detailed feedback and reports.Requirements: QTS or relevant teaching qualification. Experience working with KS1 pupils with SEN, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition. Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive teaching practices. Patience, resilience, and a nurturing approach to behaviour management. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).Desirable: SEN qualification or additional training in autism-specific strategies.
