Supply Desk are working in partnership with a large, inclusive primary school in Rochester, who are seeking a qualified and flexible primary teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term role running for at least the full academic year.

The school has been rated andlsquo;Goodandrsquo; by Ofsted and is well known for its supportive staff, inclusive ethos, and positive relationships between staff, students, and families. With a strong emphasis on teamwork, the school offers shared planning and regular collaboration, creating a consistent and supportive teaching environment.

About the Role:

The school is open to appointing a teacher to either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2, depending on your experience and preference. They are looking for a resilient and committed teacher who has previously worked with children from vulnerable backgrounds and across a range of abilities. You will take on full class teaching responsibilities, including planning, assessment, and involvement in the wider life of the school.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Teaching: Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons in line with the KS1 or KS2 curriculum.
  • Assessment: Track pupil progress and use data to inform next steps in learning.
  • Classroom Management: Create a nurturing, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues through shared planning, and build positive relationships with families and external agencies.
  • Development: Engage in ongoing CPD opportunities and contribute to school life.

The Ideal Candidate Will:


  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Have experience teaching in a primary school setting, ideally with exposure to a range of needs and backgrounds.
  • Be flexible and open to teaching either KS1 or KS2.
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management and a nurturing approach to learning.
  • Be resilient, collaborative, and committed to the wellbeing and progress of all students.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check (registered on the update service).
