About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified primary teacherandmdash;whether newly qualified or experiencedandmdash;who is open to teaching across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. The school is committed to delivering high-quality education in an inclusive and nurturing environment. You will be expected to take full responsibility for your class, including planning, teaching, assessing, and participating in wider school life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching: Deliver creative and engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 or KS2 curriculum.
- Planning andamp; Assessment: Track pupil progress through effective planning, marking, and assessment strategies.
- Classroom Management: Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment with positive behaviour management techniques.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other staff and parents to support pupils'' academic and personal development.
- Professional Development: Engage in training and development opportunities offered by the school.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification.
- Be flexible and confident teaching in either Key Stage 1 or 2.
- Be resilient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive practice.
- Be an enthusiastic team player, willing to contribute to school initiatives.
- Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or be willing to obtain one).
- Be local to Rochester or able to reliably commute.
