Senior Kotlin Engineer - Cloud Issuance Platform Location: London/Hybrid We are looking for a senior Kotlin engineer to join a high-calibre Front Office engineering team developing a cloud-hosted issuance platform for Investment Banking Capital Markets. This is a hands-on role focused on modern engineering practices, including Extreme Programming (XP), mob programming, test-driven development and continuous refactoring. Engineers will contribute across development, integration and production support. Key Skills andamp; Experience Strong commercial experience building Back End services in Kotlin Experience with event-sourced and event-driven architectures Strong experience with XP practices, including mob programming, TDD and clean code Cloud experience with GCP, including GKE and/or Cloud Run Experience with Cloud SQL, Memorystore, Artifact Registry and Cloud Logging Strong CI/CD and SDLC experience within regulated or enterprise environments Comfortable supporting high-availability, production-critical systems Role andamp; Responsibilities The team is developing a new Real Time issuance platform to replace a Legacy bookbuilding system. The platform supports around 1,000 global users during time-critical execution windows and handles issuance activity exceeding €1 trillion annually.
