Kitchen/Domestic Assistant - Nursing home setting

Pay: £12.80 per hour Job Description: MPA are currently recruiting Kitchen Assistants for our clients in the North Down area. These roles will be based across a variety of settings including nursing homes and care facilities. Key Duties Prepare and assist with providing meals as required. Assist in the preparation of food. Prepare tables and trays ready for use. Serve meals to residents. Assist in receiving food and supplies from delivery personnel. Clear tables as necessary. Carry out regular kitchen and dining room cleaning, including the use of industrial cleaning equipment. Adhere to all Food Handling and Environmental Health regulations. Maintain the kitchen area to a high standard in line with Health and Safety and Environmental Health regulations. When required, the post holder may need to act up to cover periods of leave. Essential Criteria Minimum 3 months'' previous experience working in a professional kitchen setting. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to demonstrate personal initiative. Ability to relate well to residents. Ability to work under pressure. Good organisational skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
