Kitchen Support Staff - Ballymoney - Part Time Join a team in Ballymoney as a Kitchen Assistant/Cook and play a key role in assisting in the preparation, cooking, presentation and serving of high-quality meals, whilst maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene, health and safety, cleanliness and customer service within the kitchen. About the role: £Competitive salary Ballymoney Part time, 22.5 hours per week Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 2.00pm daily Temporary position What you''ll be doing in this role: Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping and measuring food items. Assist with the preparation and cooking of breakfasts, lunches, snacks and special event catering. Serve meals in a friendly, professional and efficient manner. Wash dishes, utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment. Clean work surfaces, preparation areas, floors and storage areas. Comply with all food hygiene regulations and school policies. Follow Health and Safety procedures at all times. What you''ll need for this role: Essential: Previous experience working in a kitchen, catering or food preparation environment. Knowledge of basic food hygiene and health and safety practices. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment. Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work. Desirable: Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 2 or equivalent).
