Kitchen Porter

Manpower Recruitment has an exciting new role and looking for a Full Time Kitchen Porter for an established College in Oxford City Centre.
This is a Full Time Role, working 37.5hrs pr week
Working 5 days out of 7 and includes evenings and weekends (My client will try to give alternate weekends or a day over the weekend, but that is not guaranteed).
Typical working pattens will be 8.00am - 4pm and 12.30pm - 9pm, there may be the occasional split shift 08.00 - 14.00/ 18.00 - 21.00 although we aim to keep these to a minimum.
The role is paying £14.06ph
Job Description
We currently have an excellent opportunity for Kitchen Assistants.
Role Responsibility
As a kitchen assistant - you are effectively the engine room of the kitchen. Working under the guidance of the chefs, your job is to ensure that the kitchen is clean and operational. In some kitchens, you may also be involved in preparing ingredients, so it''s a great steppingstone to becoming a chef.
Key responsibilities:

• Ensuring the food preparation areas are clean and hygienic
• Washing utensils and dishes and making sure they are stored appropriately
• Sorting, storing, and distributing ingredients
• Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting, and cooking food and helping to prepare salads and desserts
• Disposing of rubbish
• Organising linen laundry
• Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
