About the Role
Berkeley Scott seeks reliable Kitchen Porters for temporary assignments across Central London’s commercial kitchens, restaurants, hotels and catering operations. Working shifts in these varied settings, the successful candidate will handle pot wash, dishwashing and equipment cleaning while upholding rigorous food hygiene and safety standards. Duties include supporting chefs with basic food preparation, managing kitchen waste and recycling, and keeping all food preparation areas clean and organised. Applicants must follow food safety, allergen, HACCP and health and safety procedures. A minimum of one year’s UK experience as a Kitchen Porter, KP or Kitchen Assistant is essential. Pay ranges from £12.71 to £14.80 per hour plus holiday pay, depending on experience.
Kitchen Porters Needed andndash; Central London
We are looking for reliable, hardworking Kitchen Porters (KPs) to join busy commercial kitchens, restaurants, hotels and catering teams in Central London.
MUST HAVE 1 YEARandrsquo;S KITCHEN EXPERIENCE IN THE UK.
Pay: andpound;12.71andndash;andpound;14.80 per hour + holiday pay, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Pot wash, dishwashing and cleaning kitchen equipment
- Maintain high food hygiene, cleanliness and safety standards
- Support chefs with basic food preparation
- Manage kitchen waste and recycling
- Keep kitchen and food preparation areas clean and organised
- Follow food safety, allergen, HACCP and health andamp; safety procedures
Requirements
- Minimum 1 yearandrsquo;s UK experience as a Kitchen Porter, KP or Kitchen Assistant
- Level 2 Food Safety / Food Hygiene Certificate
- Knowledge of food allergens and safe food handling
- High standards of cleanliness and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Previous hospitality, restaurant, hotel or catering experience preferred
- Available Monday to Friday full time.
