Kitchen Assistant

Vibe Recruit is currently recruiting for Pot Washers / Kitchen Assistants to join a busy and welcoming events venue in the Cwmbran area.The venue hosts a wide variety of events throughout the year, including weddings, funerals, golf events, baby showers and private functions. This is a varied role supporting the kitchen team and helping to ensure events run smoothly.We are looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who are comfortable working in a busy kitchen environment and are happy to get stuck in wherever needed.As a Pot Washer / Kitchen Assistant, you will provide essential support to the chefs and wider kitchen team. Your duties will include:Making sandwiches and carrying out basic food preparationHelping and supporting the chefs with day-to-day kitchen dutiesWashing pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipmentCleaning and maintaining the kitchen to a high standardKeeping kitchen areas clean, tidy and organisedAssisting with preparation for eventsProviding general kitchen support as requiredFollowing food hygiene, health and safety proceduresAbout YouIdeally, you will have around 2 years'' experience in a kitchen, catering or hospitality environment, although attitude and reliability are just as important. You will need to be:Reliable, punctual and hardworkingComfortable working in a busy kitchenHappy carrying out pot washing and cleaning dutiesAble to work well as part of a teamWilling to support the chefs and take on a variety of tasksOrganised and able to work at ..... full job details .....
