We are seeking a caring and dependable Kitchen Assistant to support the preparation and delivery of nutritious meals for our Residents. Working as part of a small team, you''ll help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment while supporting the dietary needs of elderly and vulnerable individuals. Primary Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and refreshments tailored to Residents'' dietary requirements Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, following food hygiene and safety protocols Clean and sanitise equipment, surfaces, and utensils after use Wash dishes and manage kitchen waste disposal Support with food deliveries: unpacking, storing, and rotating stock Ensure food is stored, labelled, and dated correctly Keep the kitchen plus outside food and freezer stores are clean and tidy at all times Help set up and clear dining areas if needed Prepare light meals Ideally be able to cook on an adhoc basis to cover holidays/sickness Report any kitchen maintenance or safety issues promptly Work respectfully and compassionately in a care home environment, recognising the needs of Residents Hours 7am - 3pm.
