Oakham Immediate Start - Until 18th December 2026 Temporary Sickness Cover Enhanced DBS on the Update Service Required We are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join a friendly school catering team in Oakham on a temporary basis to cover staff sickness until 18th December 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of food preparation and cleanliness. Key Responsibilities Assisting with the preparation of high-quality meals for pupils and staff Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness throughout the kitchen and dining areas Using kitchen equipment and machinery safely and correctly Assisting with deliveries, including loading and unloading stock Supporting the catering team to ensure a smooth and efficient service Following Food Hygiene and Food Handling regulations Adhering to all Health and Safety procedures About You Previous kitchen, catering, or food service experience is desirable Able to work effectively under pressure and prioritise tasks A strong team player with a positive attitude Organised, reliable, and committed Flexible and adaptable to changing demands Excellent timekeeping and attendance record Strong communication skills Essential Requirements Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service Available to start immediately Able to commit to the role until 18th December 2026 If you''re looking for a ..... full job details .....
