Permanent Kitchen Assistant Location: Near Winchester, Hampshire (rural - own transport required) Salary: From £25,000 per annum (higher DOE), based on £12.82 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm (37.5 hours per week). Occasional weekend work may be required for a higher hourly rate.Our client, a well-established and unique educational campus set within 39 acres of beautiful South Downs countryside, is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join their friendly and supportive catering team.The kitchen prepares fresh, nutritious vegetarian meals daily, with a focus on quality ingredients, including home-grown produce wherever possible.This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a stable, primarily weekday role with no evening shifts. The position also offers scope for progression for more experienced candidates.The RoleAs a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen. Duties will include:Assisting with food preparationSupporting cooking and meal service (depending on experience)Maintaining kitchen cleanliness and hygiene standardsAssisting during service periodsEnsuring high levels of food safety complianceFull training will be provided for entry-level candidates.
