Pay Rate
andpound;13.00 - andpound;14.80 per hour, depending on the school, assignment, location, experience, and shift requirements.
The Role
As a General Assistant, your duties may include:
- Assisting with food preparation and serving meals
- Setting up and clearing dining areas
- Operating tills where required
- Washing up and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Supporting chefs and catering teams with daily tasks
- Following food hygiene and health andamp; safety procedures at all times
What We''re Looking For
- Previous catering, hospitality, kitchen, or customer service experience is beneficial
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Good communication skills and professional presentation
Essential Safeguarding Requirement
As these roles are based in schools and educational environments, safeguarding requirements apply.
- You must hold a valid Enhanced DBS Certificate for the Child Workforce, preferably on the Update Service, or
- Be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS Child Workforce check before starting work.
Please note: Basic DBS, Standard DBS, or Adult Workforce DBS certificates are not suitable for these positions. A Child Workforce Enhanced DBS is required to work within school settings.
