Salary: £37,870–£56,154 per year
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
Start date: 1 September 2026
Salary will reflect experience and qualifications in line with the London Teachers Pay Scale.

Transparency Education is seeking an accomplished and motivated Key Stage 2 Teacher for a full-time, long-term role at a primary school in Sutton.
The successful teacher will take responsibility for a Key Stage 2 class and will help pupils develop the academic knowledge, independence and confidence needed for the next stage of their education.


This position would suit a teacher who combines strong subject knowledge with clear classroom routines, purposeful assessment and an ambitious approach to pupil achievement.

The role


Your responsibilities will include:
• Planning and delivering well-structured lessons across the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
• Setting clear learning objectives and maintaining high expectations.
• Teaching reading, writing and mathematics with confidence and accuracy.
• Using assessment to identify misconceptions and plan targeted support.
• Preparing pupils for age-related curriculum expectations.
• Differentiating learning for pupils with SEND, EAL and varying levels of attainment.
• Encouraging independence, resilience and positive learning habits.
• Managing classroom behaviour consistently and fairly.
• Working closely with teaching assistants, year-group colleagues and school leaders.
• Providing constructive feedback to pupils and communicating progress to parents.
• Contributing to curriculum planning, moderation and school improvement activities.
• Following all safeguarding, assessment and professional policies.
• Depending on the year group, the role may also include supporting pupils with upper Key Stage 2 assessment or transition to secondary school.

About you


We would like to hear from teachers who:
• Hold Qualified Teacher Status.
• Have recent and successful Key Stage 2 teaching experience.
• Possess secure knowledge of the primary National Curriculum.
• Can demonstrate strong teaching in English and mathematics.
• Use assessment and feedback effectively to improve outcomes.
• Have confident classroom and behaviour-management skills.
• Can challenge higher-attaining pupils while supporting those who require additional help.
• Are organised, reflective and committed to professional development.
• Communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues and families.
• Have high expectations for every child.
• Experience teaching Year 5 or Year 6, preparing pupils for statutory assessments or leading a curriculum subject would be advantageous.
