Junior/Assistant Estimator

We are recruiting a junior estimator to work for a- well-established fit-out building contractor delivering high-quality commercial and-workplace projects in London and the South-East

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in estimating within the construction industry. You will work alongside-the companies experienced estimator-gaining-hands-on experience across a wide range of-projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
• Measure quantities from drawings using digital take-off software.
• Obtain and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Help prepare bills of quantities and pricing schedules.
• Maintain supplier and subcontractor databases.
• Liaise with project managers, site teams, and clients where required.
• Support the handover of successful tenders to the delivery team.
• Carry out general administrative duties within the estimating department.

You will need:

• Previous experience in construction, estimating, quantity surveying, or a related role is desirable but not essential.
• A qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a similar discipline is advantageous.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• A willingness to learn and develop within the construction industry.
• A proactive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
