Wood Machinist / Junior Wood Machinist Salary: 25,000 - 30,000 per annum Hours: 40 hours per week Holiday: 28 days (including bank holidays) Location: On-siteRole OverviewWe are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Wood Machinist to join a busy machine shop team within a high-quality manufacturing environment.This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in precision craftsmanship, understands material selection, and is passionate about producing components of the highest structural and aesthetic quality.The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting production output, maintaining quality standards, and helping develop less experienced team members within the workshop.Key ResponsibilitiesProduce high-quality, accurate machined components to specificationOperate within a busy workshop environment to meet production targetsSelect appropriate materials to achieve optimal finish and consistencyIdentify and resolve design, material, and production challengesSupport and mentor less experienced team members or apprenticesContribute to improvements in processes, methods, and workshop efficiencyMaintain high standards of health and safety at all timesRequirementsExperience in a wood machining, furniture making, or joinery workshop environmentStrong understanding of materials and machining techniquesAbility to work effectively in a team and support othersExperience mentoring or training apprentices (or willingness to do so)Strong awareness of health ..... full job details .....
