Junior UKandI Accountant

Our client is a dynamic and growing business based in Reading, currently seeking a Junior Accountant on a fixed-term basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual with month-end experience who is immediately available and looking to take the next step in their accounting career.ResponsibilitiesAssist with the month-end close process, including journals, accruals and prepaymentsSupport the preparation of management accountsPerform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variancesMaintain and reconcile the fixed asset registerAssist with bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoringSupport budgeting and forecasting activitiesPrepare and analyse financial reports to support decision-makingAssist with year-end processes and audit requirementsContribute to process improvements within the finance function.RequirementsPrevious experience in a finance or accounting role, with exposure to month-end processesActively studying towards an accounting qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA) or looking to startStrong understanding of basic accounting principlesExperience with balance sheet reconciliations and journals is desirableGood Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUPs, pivot tables)High level of attention to detail and accuracyStrong communication skills and ability to work within a teamAble to manage workload and meet tight deadlines, particularly around month-endImmediately available or available at short notice.This role is looking for an ASAP start, please apply ..... full job details .....
