Working as part of a busy transport office, you''ll support the planning team with the day-to-day operation of the fleet, helping to ensure deliveries run efficiently while providing excellent service to customers and drivers.

- Provide excellent customer service and build positive relationships with customers.
- Support Senior Transport Planners with the day-to-day administration of the transport office.
- Assist with planning vehicle routes to maximise efficiency and profitability.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and subcontractors to ensure jobs run smoothly.
- Help coordinate driver, trailer, and vehicle availability.
- Accurately process transport jobs using the company''s transport management system.
- Prepare ad hoc quotations for customers.
- Notify relevant parties of abnormal load movements where required.
- Provide drivers with job information and assist with resolving any operational issues.
- Maintain accurate transport records and ensure all documentation is completed correctly.
- A basic understanding of the transport, logistics, or haulage industry.
- Previous experience in transport, logistics, planning, or administration is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good numerical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Knowledge of different vehicle, trailer, and load types would be advantageous.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
