Junior Technical CAD/Product Development Engineer

An established manufacturing company based in Birmingham requires a Junior Technical CAD/Product Development Engineer.

Duties:

• Design and develop products using CAD software such as Auto Desk Inventor.
• Create detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure designs are feasible and optimised for manufacturing.
• Checking technical drawings.
• Supporting the manufacturing team.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in CAD software.
• Good knowledge of metals and machining processes.
• Good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Experience of Auto Desk Vault.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or similar
• Experience with shop floor machining and manufacturing processes.
• Experience producing BOMs (Bills of Materials) and technical documentation for manufacturing teams.

Hours:

• 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30 to 12.30pm Friday.

This is a permanent position that starts immediately.
