Junior Systems Administrator

Location: GuildfordSalary: £30,000 - £35,000 DOE A great opportunity for an ambitious Junior Systems Administrator to join a growing technology business. Working within a collaborative IT team, you''ll be involved in everything from server and network administration to user support, gaining valuable experience across a broad technical estate. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the IT Manager, as a Junior Systems Administrator your responsibilities will include: Deploying software and administering user accounts, groups and system policies Monitoring infrastructure, services and applications to identify and resolve issues Installing, configuring and maintaining hardware, software, networking and application components Diagnosing and troubleshooting system, network and hardware faults Managing data backup, recovery and secure storage processes Replacing, upgrading and maintaining IT equipment and infrastructure Supporting cyber security best practices and internal security controls Assisting with compliance against recognised information security standards Maintaining accurate IT documentation, processes and asset records Providing technical support to internal users and external customers Managing the IT asset lifecycle from deployment through to retirement Undertaking occasional travel to other business locations for support and maintenance activities Supporting access control, CCTV and telephony systems Setting up workstations and IT equipment for new and existing employees ..... full job details .....
