Junior Project Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised Junior Project Engineer to join a growing renewable energy business delivering innovative solar PV projects. You will gain hands-on exposure across live projects, work alongside experienced professionals, and build valuable technical and commercial skills within a supportive environment focused on development and progression.
 
 
Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of renewable energy and electrical projects from enquiry to completion
• Prepare quotations, estimates, and technical proposals
• Coordinate site surveys, installations, deliveries, and access equipment
• Liaise professionally with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and installers
• Maintain project trackers, CRM systems, and compliance records
• Assist with procurement, material ordering, and delivery tracking
• Prepare commissioning documents, O&M manuals, and handover packs
• Support DNO/ENA applications and project compliance activities
• Attend site visits to develop technical knowledge of renewable systems
• Assist with invoicing, project costing, and tracking additional works

 
 
Qualifications & Requirements

• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 including Excel and SharePoint
• Ability to manage multiple tasks across live projects
• Professional and customer-focused approach
• Full UK driving licence
• Interest in renewable energy and low-carbon technologies
• Engineering, construction, renewables, or electrical background desirable
• Familiarity with CAD or project management software advantageous
• Positive, proactive, and team-oriented mindset
