Junior Press Officer

The Role This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Law Society''s busy press team as a Junior Press Officer, helping to shape the media environment for solicitors and law firms across England and Wales. Working at the heart of a high-profile communications function, you will support the delivery of proactive and reactive media activity, helping to raise the profile of the Law Society and promote its work on behalf of members. You will work closely with colleagues across Communications, Policy, International and Public Affairs to translate complex legal and policy issues into clear, engaging content for a range of audiences. You will help develop media materials, draft press releases, prepare briefing documents and support the delivery of impactful communications campaigns. The role will also involve building relationships with journalists, responding to media requests and helping to ensure that the Law Society''s voice is represented accurately and effectively in the media. You will monitor media coverage and developments across the legal, political and policy landscape, identifying opportunities and risks that could affect the profession. You''ll also provide support for press events, media briefings and campaign activity, playing an important role in the day-to-day running of a busy and fast-paced press office.
